Tina & Michael | Robert Treman State Park

Tina has been a long time friend of mine from my hometown in Ithaca, NY. We became friends in high school and have had a soft spot in each others hearts ever since. Through life, our paths have weaved and bobbed, and has taken us on many different paths, but some how, she always arrived in my life at the perfect time.

She started falling for her best friend’s brother and soon they started dating. They soon grew to do everything together and after she had graduated college, she moved home and in with him and grew a life together in Ithaca. They not only find a way to support friends but no matter who they meet, they make you feel like family. After growing together, Michael surprised Tina with an engagement late last summer.

When Tina discovered Chloe and I were dabbling in photography, she asked us to photograph her and Michael for their engagement pictures and we accepted.

She later asked us to do her wedding pictures and truthfully, we were a little reluctant. We told her we were still pretty new to taking pictures and she pushed aside all excuses and let me know she was confident. She also shared that if she otherwise wasn’t going to have anyone take pictures. This put us at ease because she wasn’t looking for perfect pictures, she was looking for someone to capture the day.

Needless to say, the wedding went off without a hitch and it was so easy to take pictures of Tina and Michael. These two are so in love with each other and comfortable being around each other, that it was effortless to take pictures of them and their family.

The support these to have in each other, their family and their friends is one to long for and is an inspiration to find someone who cherishes and lifts you up the way these two do.
