Kelly | Queen of Ithaca

Having grown up in a more than challenging environment, Kelly Cullen found her voice to come through loudest in her talents; art and singing. She grew up creating artwork to visualize prophetic messages she sees in her head. Symbolism, meaning and story just came to her, and she would draw detailed and intimate illustrations that displayed something that she felt. In addition to her artistic skill, she also sang.

Kelly grew up singing as wherever her voice would be heard which led her to travel the country for a few years to sing. She has been writing music since she was a child, and released her first album in 2016. When she settled into Ithaca, New York nearly 30 years ago, she began connecting very deeply with the community through singing at different events, her and her husband’s balloon business they started in 1990, or simply from seeing her in Gimmie Coffee or Wegmans nearly every day.

If you aren’t a member of her rather large family, you’ll often walk away feeling as though you are. So if you ever see her walking about Ithaca, grab a cup of coffee with her and listen to her story. If you’d like to see more, check out her website: kellycullen.com.
